We've manipulated the chemical composition of Beta Titanium to effectively enhance some of it's properties. The result is added durability, spring-like effect and low frictional coefficient between ball and clubface. We've actually applied for a patent on this new type of titanium to ensure the technology is not used by our competitors. The face has been high polished to enhance the Moly-Ti (Patent Pending) properties.

Plasma Welding
We've designed the ideal face composition and now all that is left is to marry it to the club head in the best possible way. The fact is, when a driver breaks, 9 times out of 10, the breakage occurs along a weld line. Common sense would suggest that if we reduce the number of weld lines the head should be stronger. This is true to a certain degree, however the face must still be welded to the body . We're fortunate to have access to a new process developed for golf clubs in Japan called "Plasma Welding". This process allows for an extremely small and strong weld line between the face and body. In the past, if welds were too big they were strong but added too much weight and if they were too small they would simply break.

Cup Face Technology
The X-1 Driver and Fairway Woods both benefit from a wrap-around or cup face design. The weld line is not in the traditional face meets body area, but slightly further in, transferring more energy to the ball and promoting greater structural integrity.

Due to "close-out" pricing, all Ashton Heads will be sold with a replacement warranty only, until product is exhausted.

The new MS-5 titanium driver is actually five heads in one! Hence the name Multi-Sole (MS-5). It's the ideal blend of engineering, class & versatility. Five different configurations allow you to custom fit each driver to your requirements. CNC grooves on the face work as an alignment aid in place of a crown marking. The combination of satin polish, grooves, bulge and roll, and the right shaft produce ideal launch conditions for every level of golfer. Comes with head cover.

MS-5 STANDARD - Designed with the better player in mind. Head weighs between 198 & 200 grams, permits a neutral ball flight bias.

MS-5 DRAW - Weighted specifically in the heel to promote releasing the clubhead through the ball and encouraging a definite draw bias. Head weighs between 198 & 200 grams.

MS-5 HEAVY WGT - Designed with the better golfer in mind. Ideal for low handicaps, professionals and those looking for higher swing weights when making drivers under 45". Typical of a tour spec driver. Head weighs between 205 & 208 grams, permits a neutral ball flight bias.

MS-5 SUPER LIGHT - Designed for anyone from the senior golfer to the top long drive competitor. Lends itself easily to increased swing speed and clubhead speed for those looking to increase distance. Head weighs between 190 & 192 grams, permits a neutral ball flight bias.

MS-5 HIGH LAUNCH - Weight has been moved from the crown area to the sole area to achieve a higher launch angle. Great for seniors, women and juniors. Head weighs between 198 & 200 grams, with a very low and deep center of gravity resulting in longer distance and control.

SPECS

The X-BRID is the first hybrid club that's easily adjustable for loft and lie. The X-BRID's hosel is made of 304 stainless steel for better welding characteristics and is attached to the body using a proprietary fusion welding system. The relative density of 304 stainless is also slightly higher than 17-4 or 431 stainless steel, giving it slightly more natural hosel weighting, leading to straighter shots. Apart from the natural benefit of bend ability, 304 also possesses the unique feel of a forged iron.
